Health & Wellness
Our dedication to comprehensive support of clients’ well-being starts with our health and wellness programming in the Noah at Central Community Center. Through various community partnerships, our clients’ health needs can be met on-site throughout the week:
Volunteer nurses use expertise and compassionate care to provide essential services, including health education, basic medical assessments, and prescription counseling. Beyond their professional expertise, these dedicated volunteers also offer a listening ear and a comforting presence, fostering trust and connection with our clients week after week.
Wayne Mobile Health Unit brings essential healthcare services directly to our doorstep. This state-of-the-art mobile clinic offers a range of medical services, including preventive care, screenings, blood testing, vaccinations, blood pressure checks, and chronic disease management, ensuring that individuals experiencing homelessness have access to quality healthcare.
Covenant Community Care Dental Unit brings vital dental services directly to our doorstep. This mobile dental clinic provides a range of essential care, including routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and other treatments, ensuring that individuals experiencing homelessness have access to quality dental care. By operating on-site, Covenant makes dental health accessible and convenient for those who might otherwise face barriers to receiving care.
WAVE shower trailer takes up residence in our parking lot twice per week, offering mobile showers for clients. Along with these showers, we provide clients with fresh underclothes and a hygiene product kit. We’ve learned through client-feedback that these showers aren’t only important for physical health, but essential for providing a sense of dignity and well-being.
