Rally your family, faith community, work place, book club, neighborhood, or school to be champions for hygiene during our April Showers Drive. Collect t-shirts, socks, and underwear at your congregation all April long in support of Noah at Central!
Our partnership with The WAVE Project’s mobile shower unit provides a safe, clean, and private space for individuals experiencing homelessness to refresh. Every shower is paired with hygiene supplies, fresh clothing (including t-shirts, underwear, and socks), and connection to Noah at Central’s community services.
Donation Guidelines
We’re seeking donations of:
- new white, black, or gray men’s socks (No women’s socks, please – All of our guests can wear men’s socks but not all of our guests will fit women’s socks).
- Men’s and women’s underwear size M-3XL

Help us keep our clients warm and cared for by participating in Sock-It-To-Me September, Noah at Central’s largest donation drive of the year! New socks are one of the most requested and impactful items for those experiencing homelessness. Your donation of new, adult men’s socks & tshirts provides comfort, hygiene, and dignity to our clients.
Join us every September to make a difference—because every step forward starts with a pair of socks!
Every June, NOAH is challenged to raise a BIG lump sum in a SMALL timeframe in order to get a matching grant. Each year, the grant amount has increased, pushing NOAH and its supporters to raise even more in order to make an even bigger impact on the City of Detroit!
The annual Concert of Thanksgiving is held in November the Sunday before Thanksgiving. There was a silver lining to the virtual 2020 Concert of Thanksgiving: no venue space restrictions! A much larger audience that included virtual attendees AND performers from around the country enjoyed the concert together. We hope to return to in person (with a streaming option!) in 2025.
