Casework

At Noah at Central, we believe in addressing the diverse needs of individuals experiencing homelessness through a comprehensive and person-centered approach.

Our drop-in casework services are designed to meet clients where they are and support them on their journey toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Here’s how our caseworkers make a difference:

Vital Document Recovery

Obtaining critical documents, such as state identification and birth certificates, is often a significant barrier for individuals experiencing homelessness. These documents are essential for accessing social services, securing employment, and applying for housing. At Noah at Central, we help clients recover these vital records, ensuring they have the foundation needed to rebuild their lives. To simplify this process, we also offer clients the use of Noah at Central as their mailing address.

Benefits Application Assistance

Navigating the complexities of social service systems can be overwhelming. Our caseworkers assist clients with applications for essential benefits, including:

  1. Food Assistance (SNAP)
  2. Medicaid
  3. Housing programs

By providing step-by-step guidance, we empower clients to access the resources they need to improve their quality of life.

Emotional Support & Relationship Building

Experiencing homelessness often comes with significant emotional challenges. Our caseworkers are trained to provide compassionate emotional support and build trusting relationships with clients, offering a safe space to share their struggles and find solutions.

Connection to Community Services

Noah at Central serves as a bridge to a wide range of community resources. Our caseworkers connect clients with services such as:

  1. Healthcare
  2. Educational opportunities
  3. Employment resources
  4. Job training programs

We collaborate with local organizations to ensure clients receive the specialized support they need.

System Navigation

Navigating complex systems like housing, education, and healthcare can be daunting. Our caseworkers provide guidance and advocacy, helping clients overcome barriers and successfully access these critical services.

Mail Services

Having a stable mailing address can make a significant difference for individuals experiencing homelessness. At Noah at Central, we provide mailing services to ensure our clients have a reliable way to receive important correspondence, such as government documents, job offers, and benefits notifications. By offering this service, we help bridge the gap between instability and opportunity.
